I joined Eastridge in May of 2017 and I am currently a Payroll Specialist for the Workforce Management branch.

  1. How has your career positively impacted other areas of your life?

Being part of the Eastridge team, I have learned the importance of taking ownership of your actions. I have also made lasting friendships through years of collaborating with different team members across the organization.

  1. What is a unique challenge you have experienced this year and how have you overcome it?

I became a mom at the beginning of 2020 just prior to the start of the pandemic. Through all of the tough days where I feel like I’m working multiple full-time jobs, I make sure to prioritize self-care and my mental health.

  1. Why do we need more women in positions of leadership?

I truly believe that empowered women empower women! More females in positions of leadership have a positive impact on encouraging others to strive for what they want and believe.

  1. What was the biggest female empowerment moment for you this past year?

I started a podcast called “Mom of the Year! As a first-time working mom, during the pandemic, one of my best friends and I wanted to create a community for every type of mom. We celebrate the messiness of motherhood, however that may look. We’re here to give you your Mom of the Year award!

  1. Name a woman you admire and why?

My mother-in-law, Luci! She has been the biggest blessing, especially over the past year. From dropping everything when I needed to help, to being a leader in her own career. She is a wonderful example of how hard work and kindness goes a long way.

  1. What advice would you give women navigating today’s workforce?

Give yourself grace and connect with others when you need it because we cannot do it all by ourselves. Find your tribe of fellow women to empower each other!
