Junior Achievement & Mission Federal Team Up
Junior Achievement and Mission Federal Credit Union have been partnered for over 13 years to make an impact in the San Diego community by helping San Diego students prepare for their future.
Recently they have partnered together to create the JA Finance Park Experiential Learning Program in San Diego, California. In October 2015, San Diego’s Junior Achievement office will open this new experiential learning program; this will be the only program in San Diego of this kind!
What Is Mission Fed JA Finance Park?
Junior Achievement and Mission Federal have recognized that students are often unaware of how to properly prepare for their financial future. The JA Finance Park Program aims to provide the missing link between school and the real world of adult responsibilities.
This program provides an opportunity for high school students to explore career and educational paths while learning how to create budgets, examine credit scores and make investments. The goal of the Finance Park is to empower students to take control of their financial future. Learn more here.
Samsung & Eastridge Workforce Solutions Get Involved
Together, Samsung and Eastridge Workforce Solutions have provided JA Finance Park with 127 new tablets! Upon entering the park, students will be given individual tablets to use during their visit. Students will use these tablets for guidance through the JA Finance Park curriculum, which is structured to teach students how to make personal financial decisions based on their own unique personal income and family scenarios.
"Eastridge Workforce Solutions is proud to support Mission Fed JA Finance Park as a Tablet Sponsor. With the program's focus on technology with digitally interactive tools for every student, we felt compelled to recommend Samsung products to JA. Samsung has been a great client of Eastridge Workforce Solutions for years and we insist on using Samsung products because of their lightweight design, beautiful displays and ease of use. We were thrilled to not only contribute financially to Finance Park, but to make the introduction to Samsung who helped save over $30,000 for the program," said Seth Stein, President at Eastridge Workforce Solutions.
Thanks to the relationship with Samsung and their generosity, Eastridge and Samsung were able to bring an affordable solution to a great cause.
